New Life at TWC Conference!

On November 18th-20th, 2015 New Life Medical Equipment will be serving as an exhibitor at the 19th Annual Texas Workforce Conference held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dallas, Texas. This event will be co-hosted by the Texas Chapter of the International Association of Workforce Professionals.

Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is the state agency that manages and offers workforce development services to employers and individuals seeking jobs in Texas. TWC works to support and encourage individuals as well as employers to reach their full potential economically.

The Texas Workforce Conference will be a three day event where participants will have the opportunity to attend multiple workshops that will give you the tools to be a successful employer or employee.

2015 TRAN Annual Conference Overview

On October 28th-30th, New Life Medical Equipment served as a sponsor and exhibitor for the TRAN 2015 Conference held by the Texas Rehab Action Network (TRAN). The event was held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in San Marcos, Tx. The conference opened with welcoming speeches from the Mayor of San Marcos, Daniel Guerrero, and the President of TRAN, Greg Mason.

The three day conference was filled with many activities and workshops that gave participants the chance to learn about Vocational Rehabilitation, improving job readiness, how to become a powerful speaker, and much more. The first day of the conference was filled with information about Vocational Rehabilitation and ended with a reception that recognized the exhibitors. The second day of the conference consisted of many great presentations including “Getting Texans Back to the Workforce through Assistive Technology” from our own CEO, Rodrick Robinson. This presentation consisted of information about the latest technology for individuals with disabilities in the workplace, how to become independent through the use of assistive technology, and hands on demonstrations on how to use assistive technology devices.

The annual awards luncheon was also held on this day, as well as a casino and costume party! We wrapped up the conference with the final remarks presented by Conference Chair, A. Delores Griggs Myles.

The TRAN 2015 Conference gave New Life the chance to showcase our medical equipment and devices, as well as help spread awareness and promote better independence for individuals with disabilities in the work place as well as in their everyday lives.

New Life Medical Equipment will be attending the TRAN 2015 Training Conference held by the Texas Rehab Action Network (TRAN) from October 28 – 30, 2015. The event will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in San Marcos, TX.

Texas Rehab Action Network is one of the largest non-profit organizations of its kind. The members of TRAN understand the importance of public Vocational Rehabilitation, and are devoted to promoting the program throughout Texas.

The TRAN 2015 Training Conference is a three day event where participants will learn about Vocational Rehabilitation resources, improving job readiness, become a powerful speaker, and MUCH more.

TRAN Walk-n-Roll Event

New Life Medical Equipment will be attending the Walk-n-Roll Event hosted by the Texas Rehab Action Network (TRAN) on October 24th, 2015. The event will take place at Bachman Lake in Dallas, Texas.

It is TRAN’s mission to advance the Public Vocational Rehabilitation program by promising effective service delivery for individuals with disabilities. TRAN provides many effective methods such as training conferences to achieve this mission.

The Walk-n-Roll Event is a 5k walk, raising awareness throughout the community about individuals with disabilities. The event is open to all people with disabilities, their family, and friends. The Walk-n-Roll Event is free, so come out and help spread awareness!

Employ Ability Career Expo

EMPLOY ABILITY

New Life Medical Equipment will be in attendance at the Employ Ability Career Expo on September 28, 2015. This event will take place at the Sheraton Hotel in Dallas, TX from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Event is held by the Dallas Mayor’s Committee for the Employment of People with Disabilities. This event is a great resource for those with disabilities in the North Texas area to meet and explore a variety of employment opportunities. Attendees will have the chance to meet with hiring representatives from more than 50 companies.

Attendees will be able to take classes offered on interviewing tips as well as resume reviews, which will be held at various times throughout the day. Also, Attitudes and Attire will be hosting a class on how to dress for success!

“The Art of Rehabilitation” Conference

September 27 – 29, 2015, New Life Medical Equipment will be attending “The Art of Rehabilitation” conference held by the Texas Rehab Association (TRA). The conference will take place at the Hilton in Galveston, TX.

Texas Rehab Association (TRA) is a non-profit organization that promotes the profession of rehab to the public, enhances the opportunities for Texans with disabilities, as well as promotes quality rehabilitation services by organizations and individuals.

“The Art of Rehabilitation” conference will concentrate on joining the knowledge and talent of rehabilitation professionals to enhance the service for individuals with disabilities.
